Corporate style based on the rhythm of typography and color fields

A laconic and expressive corporate identity for the music conservatory and the schools united under her was developed and implemented by the Canadian design studio "Polygraphe".

The "Conservatoire de Musique et d'art dramatique du Québe", which includes a network of Quebec schools for the training of talented musicians, composers and musicologists, celebrated its 75th anniversary and wanted the development of a corporate identity to support the uniform standards its composition of schools and faculties. For this purpose, "Polygraphe" studio developed a new logo, a strict grid system for constructing advertising communications and a bright color palette, which gives this prestigious institution tools for the successful visual expression of its ideology and pedagogical principles.

The new logo is a single monogram with a unique descriptor (signature under the logo) for each school. With the help of this system, all nine schools can use the word "Conservatory", being united by a common logo. This is a simple and bold solution to the problem, which makes the identity easily recognizable.

In the identification system, communication elements are connected with the city of the conservatory and with discipline. Each school has its own signature color, emphasizing its unique personality. Together, the logo, laconic typography and bright color fields express dynamism, rhythm and movement.

The Conservatory was 75 years old since the foundation, so this milestone was marked in the brand identification system. The developed version of the logo, with the date included in it, was placed in the messages devoted to the festive events. A special version of the school network logo was used in all advertising and image communications throughout the year of the jubilee.
