The identity of the playbill of the theater, built on a font and color spots

04.11.2017

In the 2018 season, the Queensland Theater plans to showcase a number of new, daring and exciting plays that will expand the boundaries of modern theater in Australia. After working with the theater troupe during 2017, the Australian studio "For The People" had an opportunity to understand how the identity of the theater can evolve and improve in the posters of the new season.

Working together with his team, the For The People design studio created eight different posters for the formation of the identity, which talk about the key aspect of each play. Also in the visual language was introduced an individual font, which typed the names of plays in posters. All the letters of this font were made in volume and shot together with the decorations created for the photo session. When photographing billboards, the actors were placed on the background of various panels and the props of the theater. All worked in concert to create images that would truly reflect the actors' efforts to prepare and conduct each performance.

Thanks to high-quality scene lighting and high professionalism, photographer Tim Jones and his team managed to create a series of images that show the subtleties of each play while maintaining the vibrancy and unique character of the Queensland Theater.
